"Scrappy" has been selected to play the Portobello Film Festival in London on September 8th in the 6-11p block in the Muse Gallery, 269 Portobello Road. Admission is FREE!
"Scrappy" is based on the Studs Terkel Humanities Award-winning poem by Donald G. Westlake. His daughter Dawn Westlake adapted the poem to the screen and directed/produced under her Ron de Cana Productions, Inc. banner. Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona filmed on location in Pine Mountain and Los Angeles, CA, USA. He also edited and did VFX.
The film introduces 5-yr-old actress Nefertina Lizarraga and her dog, Kong (as "Scrappy").
"Scrappy" was scored by GC Johnson a 2015 Peer Raben Music Award nominee at Soundtrack_Cologne for his score on Westlake's 2015 film "Through the Pane".
