The drama centers on Deon Barnes (Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson), a promising football running back during his senior year in college. Following an awe-inspiring game Deon holds out hope for a professional football career, but life gets in the way. After collapsing in the locker room he is told by a doctor (Ray Liotta) that he has a tumor growing in his chest cavity. As things continue to fall apart and the family goes broke, Deon becomes determined to get back in the game.
