Pierre Chevalier is currently head of TV channel La Sept/Arte's fiction programme department. Chevalier began working at the French cultural-affairs ministry in 1975. Two years later, he was appointed to the Centre National des Lettres, where he was in charge of allocating funds for publishing poetry, theatre and magazines. In 1981, he was appointed Cabinet Chief for the president of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.

Rachid Ferchiou studied film in Berlin and subsequently worked for television in France and Germany. A screenwriter and director,his feature film debut, Yusra (1971) was selected for the Cannes International Film Festival. Other films include Les enfants de l'ennui, Le cri étouffé and Échec et mat.
