Los Angeles Taking the last clear weekend window before Independence Day rolls out Tuesday, Andrew Bergman's Striptease, with Demi Moore, and Tom Shadyac's The Nutty Professor, with Eddie Murphy, open wide today in the US.

LOS ANGELES Alan Ladd Jr, who left MGM in July 1993 after more than three years as chairman and ceo, and who produced the Oscar winning Braveheart with Mel Gibson and Bruce Davy, has extended his exclusive production deal with Paramount Pictures for three years.

Ladd also produced the hit comedy The Brady Bunch Movie for Paramount last year with the sequel set to open 26 July
