Burbank Walt Disney Home Video has announced a US$70 million marketing campaign in the US to back the straight-to-video release, on 13 August, of the animated feature, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, starring the voice of Robin Williams.
The release will also be the theme of Disney's "Party in Agrabah" to be held in Los Angeles' Griffith Park for the 4,000 video dealers attending the VSDA Convention. The title follows on the heels of The Return of Jafar, released in 1994, which sold 10.5 million units in the US.
