Young director Milan Cieslar stated in an interview that he agreed with Milo Forman's comparison "life today is like a jungle where no rules apply".
This becomes clear from Cieslar's latest film, a crime drama based on the novel of the same name by Ladislav MÀaãko.
The plot centres on the search for a hopeful sports shooter, Robert, whose career collapses after he inadvertently kills two traffic policemen.
This event causes upheaval in his influential family which is intensified by the revelation of his parents' infidelity.
Further complications arise with the appearance of Daniela, a model, who becomes the lover of both father and son.
The motives of Robert's actions are uncovered with flashbacks from which it becomes clear that his instability is chiefly caused by the demands of an ambitious father.
When Daniela tells Robert about the relationship he finds himself alone in his flight from the police and not even his mother's help can overturn the ensuing tragedy.
