- 29 October - demonstration of Scientific and Technical Awards
- 1 November - Foreign-language Film entry forms must be received by the Academy
- 18 November - Prints of Foreign-language entries must be received
- 2 December - deadline for receipt of official screen credit forms to qualify feature films for consideration;
- 31 December - Academy Awards year ends
- 8 January - Nomination ballots mailed
- 31 January - Nomination polls close
- 11 February - Nominations announced
- 1 March - Scientific and Technical Awards Ceremony
- 4 March - Final ballots mailed
- 18 March - Polls close
- 24 March - Academy Awards Ceremony
