Exile Notebooks: Made in Cuba - Children from Paradise (Hecho en Cuba-Niños del Paraíso). Mari Rodríguez Ichaso's new video documentary explores the dark side of Cuba's educational system.

Havanna, mi amorSunday, Feb. 25, 5 p.m.
Who's Last in Line? A Conversation with Uli Gaulke. The German director of Havanna, mi amor presents his first video documentary shot in Cuba. It's an affectionate portrait of an inmate at the state asylum who's also a trumpet player.

Monday, Feb. 26, 7 p.m.
(In Spanish) Dos directores y una guionista. Dos películas del Festival y una sola escritora. Salvador García Ruiz (El otro barrio) y Miguel Albaladejo (El cielo abierto) charlan con la guionista de sus películas, la novelista Elvira Lindo.

Exile Notebooks: 90 Miles. Director Juan Carlos Zaldívar was a teenager when he came to Miami on the Mariel boatlift. The video documentary deals with his family's adaptation to exile life and acceptance of his homosexuality. It culminates with Zaldívar's recent visit to the island in search of his roots.

Exile Notebooks: How to Create a Rumba (Como se forma una rumba). Video documentary by playwright Iván Acosta (El Super) takes us on a tour of Cuban music in Miami and New York.
