The winner of this year's audience award for best British feature went to Stonewall, the coming-of-age story about set in New York gay comminty of the 1960s. Director Nigel Finch, who made his name working for the BBC, sadly died during post-production, and even though he never saw the completed version, knew it was his best work. His spirit lives on in the camp cameraderie and will be released on the UK's cinema audience next June.
