The Family Friendy Film Festival
The Family Friendly Film Festival 2008
Friday 8 – Sunday 17 August, venues across Manchester
Keep your little monsters entertained this summer – TICKETS ON SALE NOW!!
The Family Friendly Film Festival returns to Manchester this August with a great line up of events and activities for all ages that promise to keep you entertained whatever the weather, and however long the holidays may seem to stretch out!
“So Zeus has thrown his hammer in the works - and now kids nationwide are stuck indoors, overdosing on Haribo sours and PS3s while parents go quietly insane and build arks. Unless you're in Manchester, that is, where there's the Family Friendly Film Festival to keep you from climbing the walls” – The Guardian
Join in with a whole range of movie-related mayhem – from pyjama parties at The Manchester Museum and a day of peg-legs and eyepatches at PIRATES ARRRGGGGHHH COOL day, to the best in Manga animation at Urbis and filmmaking workshops where you can really make your own movies.
There will also be some great events to celebrate National Year of Reading, including HARRY POTTER DAY at the very Hogwarts-like John Rylands Library and screenings of Charlie and Lola at Manchester Art Gallery.
Lauren Child, author of the Charlie and Lola books, has become a festival patron for 2008, and says of the event:
“I’m thrilled that Charlie and Lola are a part of the Family Friendly Film Festival this year. The Festival is a fantastic event and should be a highlight of the summer for families across the region”
Full details of the festival can be found at www.familyfriendlyfilmfestival.org.uk
Many events are FREE and the rest are £5 and under, so make sure you don’t miss Manchester’s best family event!
Tickets are on sale NOW from Quaytickets at www.quaytickets.com or by phone on 0870 428 0785. Book now as they are going fast!!
