Since
its creation in 1947, the Central Intelligence Agency has maintained
what some contend to be an unholy alliance with global narcotic
traffickers.
Whether in Vietnam, Cambodia, Afghanistan or Colombia, the Agency
has needed to maintain close ties with those engaged in the transhipment
of cocaine and heroine, either for intelligence reasons or, as it
was discovered during Iran-Contra, to fund their own unsanctioned
military operations.
Guerrilla
News Network's design-rich, beat-driven documentary, Crack the CIA,
traces the dark history of CIA drug importation: exposing a covert
operation being run from Mena Air Force Base in Arkansas that delivered
tons of high grade cocaine into the U.S. inner cities. In its finale,
the video captures rarely seen C-SPAN footage of former LAPD cop
Mike Ruppert's explosive confrontation with CIA Director John Deutch
in Los Angeles.
Crack
the CIA will make you question the multi-billion dollar escapade
we call the War on Drugs.
