legendary award-winner for In Expectation, filmmaker Zhang
Ming presents his rare Chinese horror movie called Weekend Plot
at Pusan 2001. His screenplay for Weekend Plot won the
Hubert Bals Fund Award at Pusan 2000.

After
receiving the 1998 Goya award for his short film Cazadores,
Mañas embarked on a full-length feature film, El Bola.
His film reflects the hardships of a 12-year-old boy nicknamed El
Bola (Wooden Ball). Winner of an Honorable Mention,
Audience and Young Audience awards at Montpellier Mediterranean
Film Festival 2001.

Film winner at Cottbus 2001 and Tokyo 2001, Slogans marks
the second feature from 38-year-old Tirana-born Gjergj Xhuvani.
Slogans is set in the late 1970s when the Hoxha regime held
Albania in an iron grip and the frontiers were all but closed.
