The Vail Film Festival takes place in Vail, Colorado, America's most popular ski resort.
The Festival attracts over 14,000 attendees and over 300 filmmakers. The 2009 Festival takes place April 2-5 in Vail and will showcase over 80 films from around the world. Past highlights include the North American premiere of Richard Linklater's "Before Sunset" starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, as well as the directorial debuts of Luke Wilson, David Duchovny, Tiffani Thiessen, Janine Turner, Melissa Joan Hart, and Amy Redford. Past award winners include Harold Ramis, Hayden Panettiere, William Forsythe, Edward Pressman, Sophia Bush, Tim Daly, Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Davies, Jesse Eisenberg, and Olivia Wilde. The Vail Film Festival also features nightly parties, panel discussions, filmmaker Q&As, and live music with musicians from L.A.s acclaimed Hotel Cafe (Past musicians include Cary Brothers, Josh Radin, Rachel Yamagata, Meiko, Jay Nash, and many more).
