The documentary film festival of Maputo (Mozambique), each year in September. Around 80 documentaries of the entire world, projected in several places of the mozambican capital, in the presence of many film-makers. Dockanema opened its doors in 2006 and is now regarded as one of the major features on the national cultural calendar. Since its creation, the festival has gradually gained a reputation for being a professional organisation of high artistic standards, with growing recognition in the region, in Africa and throughout the world.
