Southport Rocks

Formerly 'The Jedi Music Festival'

Southport Rocks Nestled in a picturesque Victorian Park, a stones throw from the sands, in the centre of the North West's Premier seaside resort, comes Southport Rocks music festival this July. After the success of 2010 (when the event was known as The Jedi Music Festival) the festival team put their heads together and came up with a plan… Up the capacity to 5,000, make it a 2 day event, throw in the campsites, bring in the Yurts and bring a new team of programmers on board... Now 2011 is the year that Southport Rocks marks its spot on the UK festival circuit! Southport Rocks prides itself as a platform to showcase new UK music, featuring unsigned acts alongside up and coming breakthrough bands, tributes to the greats, topped off with big name headliners for your listening pleasure. The 2011 line up is a musical mixed bag, featuring kings of satire The Lancashire Hotpots, the eclectic Kid British, up-and-coming Catfish and the Bottlemen, Tales of George, homegrown Sour Mash and a tribute to those familiar kings, Kings of Lyon. With slots for over 30 acts to fill, over 2 days and 3 stages, expect an eclectic and electric line up for this boutique festival. Southport Rocks are bursting to reveal the big name headliners so watch this space! Attention to detail doesn't end at the music for Southport Rocks, the best of festival vendors will sculpt the festival village, with world foods, market sellers, family attractions and lots of activities for Toddlers! At the heart of the festival an underlying message, to promote health and wellbeing in young people prevails and the usual festival draws are teamed with fun physical activities to produce a weekend of high-octane excitement and entertainment.
