Suparna produces & directs Documentaries, Corporate Videos and Short Films , for her clients under her Company “SMS Productions”. She has a M.B.A Degree with Human Resource Management as specialisation.She has further completed a course in Film Direction. Suparna also produces and Directs independent films under her Company “SMS Productions” on topics of her choice. She believes that “Film” is the best way to let people know your views about anything and everything. Her forte as a filmmaker is her style of telling a story in a simple lucid narrative. In the year 2007 one of Suparna’s Films “Green Plaster” was screened at the prestigious “Vatavaran” Environment and Wildlife Film Festival held at New Delhi from 12-16th Sept 07. Her Film has bagged a nomination out of a total of 206 Entries in the Indian Category. Filmmakers Worldwide consider bagging a Nomination at this festival prestigious because of the high level of Competition involved. Maharashtra had 34 films entered in this year’s Competition out of which 7 films bagged a nomination. Suparna is the lone filmmaker from Pune to have made it to the Nomination List among the 11 entries entered from Pune this year. At the 2005 Vatavaran festival her film, “Life Goes On...” was screened from amongst 280 films received from all over the World. This film has since then been screened at various national and international forums such as “California Arts Association” California, Toxics Link Film Festival, a film festival hosted by the Swiss Government at New Delhi in 2006. The film is still being wildly circulated at Various Schools at New Delhi and West Bengal for the benefit of the student community.
