Located just 70 miles north of Hollywood and close to the celebrity enclaves of Santa Barbara, Montecito and Malibu, the Ojai-Ventura International Film Festival is a best-kept-secret, a world away from the big city bustle, nevertheless, drawing from a diverse film-going audience including Ventura county and Ojai locals, Hollywood elite, critics, and film festival tourists from around the world. Offering four days of screenings and more than 50 films, the festival features and premieres some of the best new, independent films from around the world, with a special expertise in cutting documentary film work. The new Ojai-Ventura International Film Festival is overseen by a passionate board of community leaders, film industry veterans and members of the greater business community and includes Chairman and President, David Shor; Vice President Development, Bill Monot, Artistic Director, Steve Grumette and new Executive Director Meegan Huff. In addition, the festival boasts a litany of high-profile advisory board members including Ellen DeGeneres, Colin Farrell, Robert Friedman, Matthew Perry, Peter Strauss, Sally Kellerman, Diane Ladd and Malcolm Mc Dowell.
