moxaherb's blogThree village women, Aishwarya, Vinodha and Sangeetha, contemplate marriage without dowries. Aishwarya supports her father through a beauty business. Vinodha prepares dairy products and Sangeetha sells coconuts. Three city men, Arjun, a successful IT entrepreneur, starts a literacy project with Raghu and Krishna, in Arjun’s native village. The childhood friends, Arjun and Aishwarya, fall in love. Raghu’s parents want him to marry a village girl; he serenades Sangeetha. After a long absence, Krishna sees Vinodha again, a villager whom he knew in the city. Krishna convinced Vinodha that he really wants to marry her. Meanwhile, Ravi, the half-brother of Arjun, returns to the village after serving time in prison for the kidnap of Sangeetha. Accused, but not convicted, of raping Sangeetha, Ravi wanted to clear his name and marry Aishwarya. Driven crazy by Arjun’s success in business and Aishwarya, Ravi killed Aishwarya’s father and committed suicide at her father’s funeral. With the Goddess Durga’s blessing, the three couples become engaged and submit the literacy project proposal on education in the villages to the Indian Government. moxaherb |
