FOR RELEASE: JUNE 29, 2011 LAST CALL – JULY 15th Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival Top festival winners to receive prizes, services TEMECULA ---- Filmmakers and musicians are running out of time to submit their entries for the 17th Annual Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival, which takes place Sept. 14-18, 2011. This year’s LAST CALL is July 15. “Every year the quality of entries gets better and better,” said TVIFF founder Jo Moulton. “That’s great, but that means it takes us longer and makes it more of a challenge to select the films and the music artists to be part of our event.” In 2010 the Temecula festival included 22 full length features, 20 documentaries, 103 short films, student films, animations and showcases along with 20 music artists for the U.S. and around the world. The festival is open to U.S. and Foreign Films in five categories: Full Length features, Shorts, Documentaries, Animation and Student Films. To be eligible a film must have been completed between 2009 and 2011. Filmmakers can submit their entries online at www.withoutabox.com. Entries from all genres of music will be considered. Music entries can be submitted at either www.sonicbids.com or www.reverbnation.com. Both the winner of the Best Feature Film and the winner and the Best Short Film will receive Post Production Services courtesy of Greenhouse Services of Burbank, Ca. In addition, Blue Ray Technology Inc. will produce 1,000 DVDs for the winning filmmaker and 1,000 CDs for the top music artist. . Other prizes include a personal consultation performance, songwriting, marketing and business plan development with Independent Record Producer Jason Brawner and a complimentary photo shoot by Ashcraft Photography. Just as important, all participants gain valuable exposure of their films and music to some of the top professional in the industry through screenings, performances, workshops, receptions and other festival events. About the Festival The 17th annual Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival takes place Sept. 14-18, 2011 at Ultra Star Theaters in the Tower Plaza Shopping Center. The festival is presented by Cinema Entertainment Alliance, a non-profit arts and education organization dedicated to celebrating world cinema and music. In 2010 over 300 filmmakers, musicians, producers, directors, writers, judges, composers, arrangers, agents, publicists, cast and crew participated in the festival, which was attended by more than 18,000 people. Past TVIFF honorees include Smokey Robinson, Kenny Loggins, Raquel Welch, Dionne Warwick, Carl Reiner, Mary Steenburgen, Michael Madsen, Shirley Jones, Gena Rowlands, Michael York, Hector Elizondo, Ray Charles, Rita Coolidge, William Shatner, Patty Duke, Billy Preston, Earth, Wind & Fire and Louis Gossett, Jr.. Additional honorees have included Directors John Badham, Andy Fickman, Jonathan Lynn and Robert Wise, as well as Producer Lucas Foster and Composers Lalo Schifrin, Christopher Young, John Ottman and John Debney.
