“Our joint mission with the festival is to examine how science naturally informs and enriches the science fiction and horror genres, as well as promote free thought and dialogue between science and society,” said Frank Kuzler, executive director, DecadesOut, based in Lower Manhattan. “EBP is dedicated to exploring work that expands awareness and encourages the advancement of the female perspective, which dovetails neatly with our concentration on exploring global viewpoints by working with artists from diverse backgrounds.”
The Science of Horror Film Festival is part of the second DecadesOut Launch Pad Theatre and Reading Series, taking place May 12-15 at the 3-Legged Dog Art & Technology Center, featuring readings of new plays about science, horror, exploration and self-discovery. Details about the plays being presented at the Launch Pad Series will be announced soon.
