The DC Independent Film Festival (DCIFF) will be Feb. 29 - Mar. 4, 2012, and we are looking for great material to show in Washington, DC., a media hub of the United States. We work with established and novice filmmakers by creating strong, popular film and media events that attract people and attention to independent film as a creative engine. After fourteen continuous years, our roots in Washington D.C. run deep. DCIFF, an internationally-recognized, award-winning festival, is 100% volunteer-run with a strong team under new management.

We are currently re-designing our website www.dciff.org but you can still see the highlights of our past festivals.

Submissions are open to December 15, 2011 (early deadline November 1). Submit online at www.dciff.org or at www.withoutabox.com.

We look forward to receiving and reviewing your submissions,

Deirdre Evans-Pritchard, Executive Director, DCIFF &
Carol Bidault d'Isle, Founder and Board Director

-----------

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, color, sex, age or disability;  nor on the basis of film genre (we do not accept adult films), film length or film format. It is our intention that all submissions be given equal opportunity. All submissions are screened by a committee of four and selection decisions are made based on a mix of quality, originality, wow-factor, smarts, beauty and, where relevant, social value.  DC Premiere required, East Coast and U.S. Premieres preferred.  Our submission fees allow us to cover the cost of filmmaker support: press, screenings, seminars and outreach.
