By opening our competition out to new and established filmmakers
from anywhere in the world we have assembled a wonderfully diverse
programme that is a true testament to the art and craft of short
filmmaking. Comedies, dramas, documentaries, music videos all featured
in this years programme.
Judging and Awards
The competition was held over the central weekend of the festival,
June 9th - 10th, with the screenings taking place on Saturday and
the judging on Sunday, followed by an awards presentation. Award
sponsors included Faber Film books and HMV stores.

Invited Films
Like the US independent features, many short films were invited
that have played the international circuit but have limited or no
UK exposure. This is also aimed at being a guide for new local filmmakers
as to the quality of films being produced around the world. As we
have invited these films we are not including them in our competition,
to ensure fair play for the other filmmakers.
