PIAR

The first reference documentary (26 minutes)
on the true story of Gongadze's unsolved murder.

It all started on the night of September 16, 2000 when Georgy Gongadze disappeared. This was the beginning of a crisis that would consume the country for the next eight months. Gongadze belonged to a new generation of Ukrainian journalists, one that was more outspoken. 33 years old, he had worked in television, helped start a radio station, and eventually an online news website called "Ukrainian Truth" -

What unfolded over the course of 8 months, and what continues today is bigger than a murder mystery. But many questions remain unanswered: Who benefited from the crime? which group, which men? who really was Georgy Gongadze? Who was targeted through the murder? And Who would all this damage the most?

This is the story of how the murder of a young Ukrainian journalist becomes the starting point of a major international geopolitical struggle for the control of a key strategic country -Ukraine.

On November 2nd, a body was found decapitated in Tarasha, a small town near Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.

Georgy Gongadze: the crusading journalist had always been a lightning rod for controversy, and his death would prove to be no different.
