Peter Hastie's blog

Peter Hastie has been making films since childhood and has an academic background in the arts and social sciences. He has worked in a number of positions in broadcasting, including ten years as a subtitler, while continuing to hone his skills in all aspects of film production.

Peter now runs Striplight, a media production company which seeks to bring original and challenging work to a global audience with a slate of short and feature-length films at various stages of production.

Peter's work has appeared in several contemporary art galleries and has attracted the attention of the renowned musician Scott Walker, who granted the filmmaker the rights to use his music in Peter's 2011 experimental film, Threads.
