Since 1993, the students of the nonprofit MSC Film Society have identified films and videos of exceptional caliber and presented them with anticipation to the students of and community surrounding respected Texas A&M University. A small and only recently competitive festival, the films selected inevitably reflect students' hunger for contemporary innovation, as seen in the current films, as well as timelessness, exhibited in this year's new feature, the retrospective. Films and videos are viewed and celebrated, then scrutinized in small, interested groups that gather to exchange ideas with the attending filmmakers. Filmmakers, students and university faculty conduct workshops ranging from the technical -- Basic Production, Screenwriting, Animation -- to the academic --Postmodernism in Film -- to the purely thrilling and hilarious -- Production War Stories.
