Sydney/Los Angeles Warner Bros and Village Roadshow have confirmed that they are negotiating a joint venture covering Warner Bros Theatres' 135 screens at 15 sites in the UK and 17 screens in two multiplexes in the Rhur Valley in Germany.
Warner Bros and Village Roadshow are already partners in Australia, Taiwan and Italy. Millard Ochs, president of Warner Bros International Theatres told Moving Pictures: "We have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Village Roadshow for more than two decades in film production, distribution and a variety of entertainment ventures.
Building on our successful theatre joint-venture activities in Australia, we look forward to Village Roadshow's entry through this new joint venture into the UK and Germany."

Warner Bros and Village Roadshow are in partnership in the Movie World, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild theme parks along Australia's Gold Coast, the country's premier holiday destination.
o Warner Bros will open its US$250 million Movie World theme park in Bottrop in Germany, Sunday.
The park is a joint venture with computer company, Nixdorf.
Attractions include studio tours, Rick's Cafe from Casablanca; Wayne Manor, home to Batman; a Lethal Weapon roller-coaster ride; a Police Academy stunt show; and a Gremlin ride. Some 32,000 visitors are expected daily at the park.
