Enzo, domani a Palermo !
The "exciting and unbelievable" story of Enzo Castagna's life, the
"greatest film organizer in the world!" For 40 years, Enzo worked
with some of the world’s most important directors-Pier Paolo Pasolini,
Francis Ford Coppola, Michael Cimino, Vittorio De Sica, Gianni Amelio,
Luchino Visconti and others-and he was the one who "discovered"
Totò Cascio, the boy in Giuseppe Tornatore’s Nuovo Cinema
Paradiso and the young players in Gianni Amelio’s Il
ladro di bambini. A specialist in finding extras and production
crews for Sicilian shoots, Castagna was accused of robbery five
years ago and sentenced to seven years in jail. In this almost fake
"documentary,” irreverent directors Cipri and Maresco draw an ironic
portrait of the little big man of Sicilian cinema, and interview
him (sometimes obsessively!) about his career and his relationship
with the movies, without forgetting his recent "troubles" with Italian
justice.
