Black
Nights Film Festival
December 3 - 10 (Estonia)
On the heels of its win in Paris for the European
Film Awards, Lars von Trier's musical Dancer
in the Dark headed north to Estonia, where it won the Audience
Prize at the Black Nights. Drawing the largest crowds and winning
the Audience Award for best film, the film's success also affirms
the festival's Scandinavian film week as a niche with audiences. The
festival brings more new feature films to the Estonian public than
all regular distribution channels do in a year.
