The London Film Festival, the UK’s no. 1 film event, starts on 2 November with a gala performance of Kathryn Bigelow’s Strange Days, starring Ralph Fiennes and Angela Bassett, and ends in spectacular fashion on 19 Novenber with the international premiere of Martin Scorsese’s Casino, starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and Sharon Stone. In between, 192 films will be seen by some 100,000 people in eight cinemas across London.
