Film Market: Market of Dreams

Market of Dreams

Gouttes d'eau sur pierres brulantes"We had a great Berlin. We're very satisfied," says Hengameh Panahi of Roissy Films-Celluloid Dreams, one of the few sales outfits to report consistently brisk business at the EFM. Panahi confirmed that François Ozon's buzz competition title contender Gouttes D'Eau Sur Pierres Brulantes had gone to the US (Zeitgeist), the UK (Artificial Eye), Italy, Spain, Austria, Japan, Scandinavia, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, "and we're in discussions with Germany."

Laurent Cantet's Human Resources has gone "pretty much everywhere," with sales to Italy, Spain, Benelux, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal and Brazil. There's US interest in the drama, too, which has already received an offer from Canada. Animated children's film Princes And Princesses has gone to Benelux, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and Norway, with strong interest from Germany and Canada. There has also been French interest in Zhang Yuan's Seventeen Years.
