For local residents, the festival offers the Short Movies, BIG Stories short film competition and a photography competition. Internationally, the festival offers the Yellow Robin Award competition for emerging filmmakers to develop their skills in filmmaking and offer them a 'hub' to the European continent through its connection with International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
