EuropaCinema with its 27th Edition is becoming, under the name Viareggio EuropaCinema, the host for three important institutions: the Festival, the School of Advanced Studies on Film and Show and the Cinema Museum. For 2010 – year of the beginning of the new course EuropaCinema – in addition to the activities of the Festival that will take place from the 11th to the 18th of October, periodical appointments will be scheduled in the form of big events, providing movie preview screenings, exhibitions, meetings with important personalities from the world of cinema and showbusiness. We have available the greatest archive in the cinema of the center Italy, with a file of over 60.000 thousand poster and manifestos 30.000 photos of scene, 5000 books of scene, that it is often been used to build shows about cinema. I am creating the new website of EuropaCinema, www.viareggioeuropacinema.com and within about ten days it will be in part avaible. The website will be continually expanded, and it will host the digital version of the whole new museum of the cinema. Moreover, thanks to our artistic director Pier Marco De Santi, who is also a professor at the University of Pisa, we will host prestigious film school teachers from the most important European Universities (Pisa example is twinned with Paris III). The Festival was created by Federico Fellini and the President is the Director Giuseppe Tornatore. Its long history is marked by the presence of great authors and actors such as: Istvan Szabò, Michael Haneke, Wenders, Antonioni, Ben Kingsley, Malcom MacDowell, Mastroianni, Morricone, Gian Maria Volontè etc etc...
