Southern Mirrors, along with its partner Puente, present the fifth edition of BRAFFTv - Brazilian Film and TV Festival of Toronto celebrating Brazilian recent cinematography.

This year's four-day festival features a vibrant line-up of shorts, animation, documentaries and features. The opening session on September 29th will be held at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and will feature the Canadian premiere of the film Rosa Morena. The film directed by Carlos Augusto de Oliveira is a co-production between Brazil and Denmark.  The film was nominated for Best Film at the Sao Paulo International Film Festival and received the Jury's Special Award at the same festival, it also received Best First Feature Award at the Cinequest Festival in California.

For the second year, in partnership with the Toronto Public Library, the Festival will be presenting a PRE-BRAFFTv  session on September 22nd at 6pm at the Palmerston Library (FREE).  The awarded film "Estomago - A Gastronomic Story" was chosen to kick off the Festival.

The Competitive Program will be held from September 30th to October 2nd at the Carlton Cinema. The full list of the competitive program will be announced on September 5th, 2011.
