Screenplay-"MEDEA" by Manana Jordania Colkhis',Georgian version. Log line: Princess Medea is compelled to live her motherland and to depart in travel full of dangers. She saves the artifact of Colkhs from aliens and at the same time is fighting for her right to love one of them and be loved too. She faces with treachery and faithlessness and brutally takes revenge. Synopsis; Princess of Colchis Medea falls in love with Yason- the enemy of her country and leader of aliens. He sails to Colchis to own the artifact, the Golden Fleece- a carrier of cosmic wisdom. Medea is able to protect the interests of her country and safety of artifact. She changes it in a false one and helps Yason to steal false Golden Fleece. Nobody knows about her secret and she is announced as a traitress. She is forced to escape with Yason. Many people die during the prosecution, sea and land battles. There are Medea’s brother, nephew and commander in chief of Colchis, among them. Medea is married Yason and follows him in his country. They have two children there. But Medea is abused and betrayed, because Yason decides to merry another princess. Medea becomes furious. She can’t stand humiliation and kills Yason’s fiancé by poisoned jewelry. Princess’s father and Yason die touching the poison to. In revenge Medea’s children are killed by cutting of their throats and Medea herself is announced as filicide. Medea comes back to his motherland and goes to the place of Golden Fleece she rescued. Medea being punished by her love commits suicide. synopsis: As the story opens, it’s a XII century BC, an oldest civilization of Colkh’s. In this country is keeping mysterious wisdom of Golden Fleece. Greeks and other nations have a wish to obtain it. This artifact’s protector is King Aiet’s daughter- half goddess Beautiful Medea. She is magic and wise then any woman. (From her name comes a modern word “medicine”.) A grope of adventurers from Hellada are visiting a Kingdom of Colkhs by their ship. Their leader is egoist and ambitious person named Yason. His aim is to become a king of Ialkos, but for reaching of his aim he must to own and bring to usurper King Pelias a Golden Fleece. The King Aiet becomes furious when Yason demanded from him Golden Fleece and orders him to complete an impossible to carry out task. Yason has no way out and asks Medea for help. Yason is using his charm and other dirty methods to deserve and obtain Medea’s love. Medea must safe lives of her cousins. She must protect a Golden Fleece too. From another side she falls in love with Yason, already being engaged with Amon. She is using her knowledge and magic power to risqué Yson from death. Medea explains to Amon, that the Golden Fleece would always be in danger of attack by foreigners. She gives his fiancé Amon a mission to change a real wisdom written on Golden Fleece with false one. Amon fulfills Medea’s assignment. Medea prepares for Yason magical drugs which have hallucinogenic property. Yason carries out Aiet’s task. King Aiet understands that Yason could carry out his task without Medea’s help. He decides to execute Yason and his accompanying Hellenians. He orders to burn the ship of Yason and to execute all persons who were helping him. Medea knows about father’s severe orders and helps Yason to steal “false” golden leather. She have to run away with Yason from motherhood. Amon knows about Medea’s losing and exiling from motherland for ever, he falls from the rocks with his horse and kills himself. Colkhish ships rushed after Yason. Chasing and fights are held in the Black Sea. On their ways are storms and tempests. On one of the islands Yason perfidiously kills Medea’s brother Apsirt. One of Medea’s cousins is dieing during combat.The Commander in Chef of Cholkh’s - Kakha being in ages, fights with Yason to the end, but Yason wins. He doesn’t kill Kakha. A proud old man kills himself against Medea’s yes. After big dangers Yason and Medea are returning in Hellada. King Pelias does not give back Yason the throne and crown. Furthermore, old king Pelias will like graceful Medea. He asks her to become his mistress. Medea does not forgive the king Pelias her insult and humiliation. With hypnotic, magician conversation Medea promises Pelias rejuvenation and recovery of his body. Medea kills the king Pelias by hands of his daughters. Medea and Yason are forced to exile to Korinto. In Korinto Medea and Yason became parents of two sons. Yason’s ambitions are not satisfied. He can’t adapt with common life of an ordinary citizen and that people have forgotten his heroism. Yason often visits princess Kreosa. Yason and Kreosa decide to marry and exile unnecessary, nonentity and barbarian Medea from Korinto. Medea sends to Kreosa her sons with present – poisoned things placed in the casket, a golden diadem and a pelerine. After that the king Kreon and his daughter Kreosa die with terrible death. Frightened sons of Medea run to their mother. The guards rush after children to kill them. Medea tries to defend her children from killers but looses conscious. Brutalized guards cut Medea’s children’s throats with Medea’s dagger. They put the dagger into Medea’s hands. Medea buries her children with her own hands. Yason has already touched the poison with his hands from the daughter of the king Kreusa. The poison rise up on his hands with redness and Yason finishes his life with terrible death. Medea returns to Aia-Colchis. She goes that very place where the real Golden Fleece is rested. She finds the grave of her fiancé Amon there. Medea kills herself with a dagger. Golden Fleece is shining in the rays of rising sun. a
