It’s our pleasure to let you know that the first international festival of independent films – OZoneFest and Film market - OZoneFilmmarket will take place from 13 to 20 of January in “Zhovten” cinema, in Kiev. The festival will be communicative area of international cultural exchange and serve to further the development and spread of independent cinema in Ukraine.Competition program of OZoneFest will consist of three sections: International Competition; the program «Russian background» - will consist of films in Russian or Russian language sounds in subjective acquitted points; National competition program «Ukrainian perspective». Full length fiction and documentary films made after 1 of January 2008 are eligible for the competition. Deadline for submissions – 1 of November 2009. Non competition program will consist of retrospectives of classic independent films, thematic programs, special events, master classes and panel discussions.Each competition program is supported by Jury and the prize for the best film – “Cossack” for the best film in international competition, “Cossack Cup” for the best film in «Ukrainian perspective» program, “Cossack page” – as a audience award prize
