The Crown Heights Film Festival (CHFF) brings exceptional local and international short film to Central Brooklyn audiences. The festival showcases a curated selection of short films: narratives, animation, documentaries, and cross-disciplinary/experimental films. Our mission is to provide a voice and opportunities for filmmakers in short form, to foster cross-arts collaboration, and to provide a social forum for filmmakers, Central Brooklyn residents, and the wider arts community.

Ron de Cana Productions, Inc. is happy to announce the acceptance of "Through the Pane" to the 12th annual Asterfest in Strumica, Macedonia for May 27-31, 2016. The film is based on a personal memoir written by director Dawn Westlake's father. It was shot and edited in Wheaton, IL, USA by Pol Carrizo-Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. WoFF: World of Film International Festival Glasgow

The World of Film Festival, formerly known as Commonwealth Film & Theatre Festival Glasgow is coming back for its second edition October 1-4 2015. In four days full of film screenings, theatre performances, live events, panel discussions and networking receptions WoFF will bring new, more vibrant and youthful vibe to the city’s emerging film and theatre scene. 

WoFF will take place at the cinema of Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA, 350 Sauchiehall Street). 

This year, the festival comes with a new programme, transforming from a West End festival into a contemporary 4 day event that will gather audiences with various interests and tastes in film and theatre. 

WoFF’s errand is to bring together audiences from Glasgow’s multi-stranded art scene, while at the same time engaging people with powerful background in film and theatre that will bring fresh ideas, filling the gaps in Glasgow’s film and theatre events’ agenda. 

WoFF 2015 will include the following sections: 

First Feature Competition: Will include successful submissions from first feature film directors. 

The Female Perspective (In competition): Showcasing the work of female independent filmmakers. 

Special Screenings (Out of Competition): A selection of films known from the festival circuit. 

Best of MIAFF 2015: Animation programme including the Best of selection of the Montreal International Animation Film Festival (April 16 - 19 2015) 

Commonwealth Film Student Competition: A focus on one country from within the commonwealth, which will showcase submissions from film students, currently enrolled in the major national film schools. Students can submit films as individuals or representing their school. 

Additionally a Theatre Performance, staged and performed by recent graduates of the UoG’s Theatre Department, whose recent work has been selected for the upcoming FRINGE Festival. 
The above will be surrounded by a masterclass from renowned filmmaker / actor or a personality with experience in working for the film industry. This event will be intensively promoted within the Glasgow’s film and theatre students’ communities who will be able to attend with special discounts. 
Finally, workshops and panel discussions (e.g. on the emerging female filmmakers presence in the industry, as combined with the Female Perspective Section of the festival).

Warsaw Film Festival

The Warsaw Film Festival (WFF) is organized by the Warsaw Film Foundation in Warsaw, Poland. Its aim is to present the best films from all over the world to Polish and international audience, and to encourage better communication and understanding between people living in different countries and of different cultural backgounds. Carmarthen Bay Film Festival is set in the heartland of Welsh film and television. The festival is held in the home town of Wales' very first Hollywood silent film star Gareth Hughes who was Kelvin Guy's, the festivals CEO and founder cousin. The Carmarthen Bay Film Festival is all about encouraging and supporting independent film and cinema here in Wales the UK and Internationally. Our 3rd festival was a huge successes with over 140 films entered. The festival was once again held over 4 days at the 4 star Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli, Wales. The festival was once again a big hit with the attending film makers who had traveled from LA Miami, Europe and from all over the UK. The festivals audience was also very impressed with the diversity and quality of this year’s films with attendance rising from last years by over 100%. This festival is all about being open and fair with an independent judging panel made up of professional well respected film and television writers and critics. The festival is not about making vast amounts of money off the backs of film makers, but giving them the opportunity to have their films screened and judge fairly. We operate as a not for profit community group. Which basically means all money from submissions and sponsorship goes towards making the festival bigger and better year on year. FIDMarseille Marseille’s International Film Festival

Every year in early July, the FIDMarseille —Marseille’s International Film Festival— presided by Paul Otchakovsky-Laurens and directed by Jean-Pierre Rehm, proposes a programme of 130 films to approximately 23,000 spectators, in cinemas, theaters, libraries, art galleries, and in open-air amphitheaters throughout the city. The festival presents a large number of films in their world premiere as well as first films. Today, the FIDMarseille is recognized as a source of new cinemas, both documentary productions as well as fiction films.

In addition, the FIDMarseille organizes the FIDLab, a support platform for international co-production; the FIDCampus, a training workshop for Mediterranean students; and numerous, offsite screenings throughout the year.

Films must be completed between Jan 2013 and October 2014 to be eligible for entry. Each title is permitted to enter once to the SIMA Awards. Titles that have entered in the past are not permitted to enter into the competition in subsequent years. Each entry may be submitted by only one individual or organization. If the film is a co-production, the entrant assumes full responsibility for notifying the other co-production partners of the entry. In the event of multiple entries for the same film, copyright ownership will determine which entry is accepted. The entrant is responsible for securing and clearing all rights.
