Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We're pleased to introduce to you the first edition of Rated SRTM - Socially Relevant Film Festival New York, to be launched March 13-19, 2014. Rated SRTM is devoted specifically to filmmakers and fans of entertaining and commercially viable movies that achieve box office success without resorting to gratuitous violence, vices and sensationalism. The festival will take place in New York City, the entertainment capital of the world, as well as upstate New York, at the Carey Center for Global Good in Rensselaerville.
Founding Artistic Director Nora Armani and Filmmakers' Lab Founder/ Director Mike Camoin will be at the Cannes Film Festival 2013 to meet with you and fill you in on how you can participate as filmmaker, panelist, distributor, sales agent, partner and colleague. Submissions will be open soon on Without a Box and festival platforms such as www.filmfestivals.com, www.reelport.com, www.festhome.com and others.
Please feel free to schedule a brief meeting with us during Cannes 2013 by contacting Emilie Wacogne: +33 (0) 6 83 38 19 46.
Rated SRTM strives to deliver Socially Relevant films that shine a spotlight on human stories with a relevant message or cause. Perhaps the first Filmmakers' Lab of its kind in the U.S., Rated SRTM is devoted solely to the filmmakers who deal with this type of content. During the lab sessions new ways will be explored to help stories that matter reach a wider audience. The Lab will take place during the Upstate portion of the festival, March 14-16th, 2014.
Filmmakers from around the globe with socially relevant stories at various stages of development are encouraged to apply.
We look forward to seeing you soon. Have a great Cannes 2013!
From all of us at Rated SRTM,

Macabre Faire Film Festival Mission:
To provide a respectful, competitive, celebratory and affordable film fest event that is judged by a panel for independent filmmakers to enter their Strange-ifical, Weird-ifical, Horror-ifical, Sci-fi-tastical, Fantastical and Macabre-licious films to be viewed by the fans with the opportunity to win awards, increase film visibility via press and possibly obtain distribution. All this while maintaining manageable entry fees.
What's it all about?
TwitchTwitch Productions presents Long Island's only Macabre Faire Film Festival 2x a year with its main focus always being the "Official Selections" and its filmmakers/crew.
For starters the word "Macabre" is pronounced: Ma-Cob. The "re" is hardly ever heard. What does it mean?
Although it is an adjective meaning: disturbing and horrifying because of involvement with or depiction of death and injury, we usually approach the Macabre Faire Film Festival with a lighter touch in the sense that, not all of the films screened have been a gore fest. Of course, there isn't anything wrong with adding some gore to a macabre film fest but, when we hear the word "Macabre" we remember those hauntingly fascinating films that starred legendary greats such as: Vincent Price & Peter Cushing. Or those fantastic Gothic horrors like those from "Hammer" films. These names in themselves represent what "macabre" means to us. What we are saying is that the word "Macabre" doesn't have to be about the hardcore gore, violence or scare but instead it could be about what you don't see or hear but, somehow manages to reach your fear's core. Let's also not forget those fantasy films or comedies with their horror twists. Truth be told that those exist too and yes, we welcome them. How can we not? Would you have turned down something like "The Evil Dead's: Army of Darkness" which is both a fantasy, a comedy and a horror wrapped into a tight burrito? Yeah, we wouldn't either. So folks, this is what many of the films selected for the Macabre Faire Film Festival have to offer. About the only thing we may have to say "No Thanks" to would be a romantic comedy/drama... unless, there's a monster or weird dark force that takes over then we may reconsider.
We have had judges and guests such as director Stevan Mena "Bereavement", Eileen Dietz "The Exorcist", Doug Jones "Hell Boy", Cleve Hall "Monster Man", Michael Gingold "Fangoria", Nick Nicholson "CNN Film Critic", Evan Ginzburg "The Wrestler" and others.
Trophies & Award Certificates will be presented.
Also note: Elsie Ginsberg is currently the Acquisitions Manager for the popular interactive live streaming: www.MonsterChannel.Tv With this said, all films submitted to the Macabre Faire Film Festival become eligible to be part of the channel's programming. All films will undergo review by the Monster Channel's additional management team for consideration. If a film is not chosen as an Official Selection for the Macabre Faire Film Festival this does not mean that the film may not be considered for programming on the Monster Channel. Forms from Fourth Castle that grants permission to showcase your film to Monster Channel's captured audience can be found with the Film Fest forms at: www.MacabreFaireFilmFest.com
Keep in mind, the Monster Channel is a bonus feature to submitting your film to the Macabre Faire Film Festival and completely optional. Programming shall begin streaming on the Monster Channel of the selected original films by the later part of 2013.
The Macabre Faire Film Festival currently takes place at the Best Western Mill River Manor Hotel in Rockville Centre, NY offering 3 screening rooms. This allows us to screen between 25-50 films per event (totals vary according to amount of days allocated for the event). It is presented by our umbrella company "TwitchTwitch Productions" which is family owned and operated. The brand "Macabre Faire" may be recognized by many because of it's affiliation with the "Macabre Faire" convention-like party events that take place through out the year occasionally for a weekend long gathering.
Our Macabre Faire events and Film Festival have a reputation for being a very friendly environment with a wonderful celebratory ambiance within an intimately sized space. Here's what Fox 5 News had to say about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oVRMl4BQwQ&feature=share
FESTIVAL OVERVIEW
Artisan Festival International World Peace Initiative is comprised of mini-festivals representative of the Arts (Fine Art, Film, Fashion, Music, Theater) brought together under one umbrella in an effort to promote cultural diversity through the arts. Our goal is to bring such rich culture to each community we work with and encourage as much community support as possible to facilitate an understanding that we are a cultural arts organization seeking to add to the communities we serve while simultaneously assisting with peace efforts on a global scale.
"The mission of Artisan Festival International World Peace Initiative is to bridge the gap in cultural diversity worldwide. By promoting culture other than ones own through film, art, fashion, theatre and music, one can begin to have an understanding and appreciation of others. This is the way to begin creating world peace," stated Princess Angelique Monét, Festival Founder and Director.
Our events will promote visual/video art, film, fashion, theatre and music. Within A.F.I. we have created five Signature mini Festivals each with it's own audience, but we hope to encourage cross-demographic involvement between each area.

This program is hosted by our veteren staff, with years of experience working the festival environment of Cannes and the marketplace. We are able and excited to include you in one of the most glamourous deal making festivals on the globe. For this reason, all filmmakers accepted into this program must pay a fee (separate from submission fee) to be involved in the Cannes agenda. Located in Southern
California, Fallbrook and its surrounding communities is a beehive of creative
energies: artists, sculptors, writers, actors, musicians, dancers, designers,
and filmmakers. In 2006, the non-profit Fallbrook Film Factory was formed to
foster filmmaking activities similar to community theatre, and out of that the Fallbrook
International Film Festival evolved, now entering its fifth season. Fallbrook
was also the family home to one of Hollywood’s all-time filmmaking legends
Frank Capra during the height of his filmmaking career. To that aim, we have
been most fortunate to gain the support of the Capra family, allowing us to
host a very special award in his name. And this year, due to the strong support
from the Hollywood stunt community, we are adding Action Films as an award category
and workshops with top stunt directors, reveling this hidden art of filmmaking.
