23rd Avignon Film Festival awards

The 23rd Avignon Film Festival came to a close last Sunday 25th June 2006. At the final awards ceremony, which took place at the Museum of the Petit Palais with special guests Marie-Josée Roig, mayor of Avignon, filmmakers Jean-François Stevenin and Laszló Szabó, and almost all of the directors of the movies in competition, the 2006 Jury announced this year¹s winners.

The Avignon Film Festival is already organizing its 24th manifestation in 2007 and is also preparing for the celebration of its 25th anniversary ³transatlantic crossroads of independent cinema² in 2008.
