Contact Helen at helentheresa@gmail.com Michael YorkTrue-blue British actor, Michael YORK has arrived in Pordenone, Northern Italy, with his wife Pat, to introduce MARY PICKFORD, the MUSE, a new comprehensive documentary on the silent film diva, directed by Nicholas Eliopoulos.
The couple, which spends months touring around the world for their professions, make Los Angeles their home now. Pat, a seasoned photographer, has published several books of her works and is heading for the Frankfurt Book Fair following the Cinema Muto Event after 4 days at the Antalya Film Festival in Turkey where Michael York is a special guest.
They will also be present in the Vatican for a special screening of the Polish documentary TESTIMONY, on the life of Pope John Paul II, equally narrated by York, in the presence of Pope Benedict. The first documentary to obtain authorisation for shooting in the Vatican, was completed recently.
Further plans are to attend the Hot Springs Documentary Festival in Arkansas, the oldest documentary film festival in the U.S.A for a special Award he will receive.
