Imphal Film Festival is regularly organises International Short Film festival, Imphal International Short Film Festival starting 2012. The first edition of IISFF 2012 was a successful event with screening of 15 International Films and 29 regional Films and Jury Section of 18 Hindi films. Legend Studio Manipur and Action for Social Advancement (ASA) Manipur is organising a series of film festivals starting 2012 with the support of Film Forum Manipur. We have our International festival of short films "First Imphal International Short Film festival 2012" during April 15-18, 2012. More than 100 short films around the world will be screened and we will have few retrospect sections of well known filmmakers. Our mission to organise such festival is to encourage indie filmmakers and the talents to make meaningful cinema. Manipur is a culturally rich place on the North Eastern region of India, bordering Myanmar and it is the emerging market for South East Asian nations through the Look East policy.
