SCAMFEST story is stolen by Bill Yeager
The SCAMFEST expose documentary is being ripped off by a
filmmaker in the states who is useing this site to promore a vendetta, Bill Yeager who refers to himself as the Jesus of
Malibu has blatantly copied not only the expose documentary idea but also the
name SCAMFEST.
Yeager contacted us a while back about Sundance and in truth
the allegations he was making about the Sundance film Festival were outlandish
to say the least.
We will not under any circumstances defame and libel anyone
and will not publish via film or print any information about a festival without
firstly substantiating the allegations with hard evidence
Yeager seems to be aggrieved by us for not being supportive
of his allegations against the Sundance film festival and in what appears to be
an act of vengeance is now using our well-publicised expose documentary title
SCAMFEST to promote his own vendetta with the Sundance Film Festival
Although we firmly believe in free speech and would work
with any filmmaker to help expose scam festivals we cannot go along with Yeager’s
unsubstantiated allegations
Although Yeager’s attempt at passing off his own film as our
film is indeed damaging to our own efforts he is stifling his own credibility
as a filmmaker. How can he expect anyone to take him seriously when he is
attempting to take the credit for our work and blatantly passing our film off
as his
Legal action is now under consideration for passing off and
we will keep you posted
