The 54th Rochester International Film Festival, the world's oldest continuously-held short film festival, will be held April 19th, 20th and 21st 2012 at the historic Dryden Theatre at the George Eastman House in Rochester, NY. If films are submitted before December 1, 2012 they receive a $15 discount!
On August 3rd and 4th, 2012, the Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association (BSBPA) will present the FIFTH Annual Ballston Spa Film Festival in Wiswall Park. The festival will showcase short films from around the country as well as those by local student filmmakers. Hollywood film professionals will judge the entrants to determine award winners in several categories including two exclusively for young filmmakers.
This program is funded in part by Saratoga Program for Arts Funding (SPAF) part of the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by Saratoga Arts.
The 5th annual San Francisco Bay Area International Children`s Film
Festival showcases short live-action and animated films from around the
world made for children. The festival takes place April 1 - April 10,
2011 at WonderCon at the Moscone Center, and the Children's Discovery
Museum in San Jose.
We seek short films made for children, 20 minutes RT or less. Entry is
free. Send an e-mail to sfchildrensfilm@cox.net asking for an entry
form.
The 64 to 1 Film Festival is an online film festival and completely unique and one of a kind. The format for the competition is based off of the very successful NCAA Basketball tournament. 64 films will be pitted against each other- elimination style- through six rounds of judging.
One set of judges will determine the rankings based on a complex point scale with the highest rated film taking the highest seed. Most would presume the highest seeded would be the odds on favorite to win, but there is a twist. The judges who rank the films 1-64 will not judge another film for the contest.
Every round a new set of judges will come in and judge the films and they will not be given the seeds, as to avoid any psychological leaning toward any of the films. They will never know the actual seeds to be sure the playing field is kept fair the entire time.
Each round will last one week (with updated brackets coming out every Monday) and proceed as follows:

Round 3 (16): March 15, 2010
Round 4 (8): March 22, 2010
Round 5 (4): March 29, 2010
Round 6 (2): April 5, 2010
Round 7: April 12, 2010 – winner announced

The 72HFP is an int`l competition for film and video makers to shoot, edit, and complete a feature length motion picture in 3 consecutive days or less.

Co-founded by award winning film makers Brent and Craig Renaud, LRFF showcases the best international films and the best in narrative, documentary, and short films from around the World.
