of global development and various issues related to international aid for economically depressed countries.
We are looking for original, wise and objective productions (documentaries, reportages and social advertising) that will increase the awareness of the viewers on problems of injustice and depravation in developing nations. What we seek are productions that will raise important questions about the state of our contemporary world, and urge people to reflect on the meaning of help for those in need.
We are looking for:
* Documentary films,
* TV Reportages,
* Social advertising/campaigns related to developmental issues.
We are especially interested in themes such as:
1. Interdependence of the Global North and Global South.
2. The ones set out in the UN Millennium Development Goals.
3. Everyday problems of people living in developing countries.
4. Examples of help brought by donors, international organizations, governmental agencies and NGOs - both positive and those who have not been successful.
5. Social advertising/campaigns about UN Millennium Development Goals or development issues.
The Festival will present the best documentaries and commercials on subjects related to developing nations from around the world. We would like to show productions that increase the awareness about the countries' dependency on international aid. We hope that people who will participate in our festival will learn about how global issues affect the everyday lives of people and societies around the world, and how each and every one of us can get involved and make a positive change for people in poorer nations.

It welcomes international participation and already ranks in the list of the major festivals in the world of animation. Features and Shorts
[And in case you're wondering, short films are 30 minutes or less. Features run at least 75 minutes. If you're in the middle...sorry. Maybe next year, we'll add a "long shorts" section to the festival!]
All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of hardened horror freaks - we'll get back to you, by December 23, 2010 at the latest, and let you know whether you've been accepted. If you want, we can also review the film in detail on TrashCity.org; that is entirely optional, but if you're looking to get buzz started, that would be a good way, since the site gets 1,000+ visitors per day. Let us know with your entry if you'd rather we didn't do that though, and we'll happily keep quiet.
What's in it for me, you say? Well, the winner of both the Best Short and Best Feature will receive a domestic and International distribution deal from Brain Damage Films and Maxim Media International. Other film distribution companies and studios are invited to attend and may be interested in your film. We are working with sponsors to offer a cash prize and we will post prizes when they are available.
There is no better way to get your film seen by horror fans. Other entries may also be offered contracts, if they're deemed worthy, but the winners get that as a guarantee. There'll also be an 'Audience Choice' award for the best single film, be it short or feature. We haven't quite worked out what the prize is for that yet though!
Any questions, please feel free to email us, at director@phxfearfilmfestival.com or you can call 602-399-9500, and we'll happily answer your queries.

Gdynia Film Festival takes place on May 7-12, 2012. It is one of the biggest film events in Poland and the only one which promotes the Polish cinema to such a large scale. Every year the newest Polish films compete in Gdynia for the Golden Lions award. The Festival in Gdynia is primarily the showcase of Polish cinema - the best films of the year, the most influential filmmakers, vital topics. Modernity meets here in a dialogue with history: new generations of filmmakers are confronted with masters, and new generations of critics reinterpret the classics of Polish cinema.
MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Zero Film Festival is the first festival EXCLUSIVE to self financed
filmmakers and their authentically independent films.
Zero Film Festival is an independent organization and registered
501(c)(3) operating now out of NYC as well as Los Angeles, committed to
helping under represented filmmakers and screening original and
innovative films for cinema lovers everywhere.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Zero Film Festival - Focusing on a niche in the independent film
community which has been under appreciated and ignored, Zero Film
Festival is dedicated to screening self financed films from filmmakers
all over the world.
In the age where the majority of festivals are Hollywood marketing
campaigns, and even "indie" and "underground" festivals screen financed
films, we are here to offer something different. We recognize
authentically independent films and filmmakers who take risks and fight
the odds to see their visions through.
The Zero Film Festival is the first festival EXCLUSIVE to self-financed
filmmakers, providing a platform to screen their bold and innovative
films in Los Angeles AND New York City.
In 2009 ZFF added its 1st annual West Coast Tour - screening selected
2008 films in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Hollywood and Orange
County. 2010 will see the addition of an East Coast Tour, distribution
channels and more...
---
Zero Film Festival has established itself as a festival representing
authenticity, integrity and innovation. In 2008, we screened well over
a 100 films from filmmakers all over the world. Over 70 filmmakers were
in attendance from as far away as Singapore, U.K. and Bangkok.
Zero Film Festival alumni have gone on to receive distribution and financing for their next film projects.
Our nightly after parties feature the best indie bands and stretched till dawn.
