The trailer and more info on the movie is available on  www.damthemovie.com .

DAM 999, is an English movie with Hollywood/Bollywood starcast which is nearing completion.

A major portion of the movie was shot in UAE. It is a tribute to the
1975 banqiao dam disaster of china which took the lives of 250,000. The
movie is an Oscar bidding project and has 16 national and international
award winners in  and behind it.

DAM 999:

John Brown, as the Mayor of the city decides to build a new DAM to
replace the century old DAM built by his great grand father during the
colonial days in India to avoid its potential threat on 2.5million
lives. Wide protests against the evacuation costs him, his life. His
son-in-law, a corrupt politician  becomes the next Mayor and  tries to
inaugurate the new DAM without meeting the safety standards. Sankaran,
an astrologer predicts about a possible disaster on the inauguration
day. A group of mariners joined together by destiny decide to fight it
out to avoid the disaster and save the mankind. The movie moves towards a
thrilling climax through Nine Characters, Nine moods and a DAM of
emotions...

Interesting Fact:

The movie will also set "Guinness Book of World"  for having  the
"largest ship ever filmed " for a movie. The ship used in our movie
"Front Sabang" (153644 gt) surpasses USS Carl Winson  (101,300 GT),
which was used in movie "Behind the Enemy Lines".
