AFI Film Festival hits Los Angeles on Nov.3rd and eats its 25th edition cake too!

Time to spill the well-kept secrets: I'm a Frenchie in Hollywood! and you know you belong to the city, when you take your first shot of coffee in the morning with the "trades" - lingo for Hollywood Reporter, Variety, The Wrap and likes. Lately, that reading has been pretty gloomy. Cuts and drastic economic measures have prevailed, and muffled the jolly tunes of the industry. So much so that another industry is soaring as a side-effect of the "depression"...Therapists!

Therefore, when the opportunity to cheer the 7th art comes up, you embrace it fully, even more so than we're about to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the highly anticipated, week-long movie extravaganza : the AFI Film Festival. Kicking off the awards season each year, AFI Fest offers a festive atmosphere, a stellar line up and a major perk to the cinephiles: screenings open to the public – free of charge. Tickets and festival planning guides are available on the AFI Fest website.

Clint Eastwood's latest opus "J. Edgar," starring Leonardo DiCaprio will have its world premiere Nov. 3 at the historic Chinese Theater; followed by the quintessence of world cinema until Nov.10th
