“The Campaign” Cam Brady/Will Ferrell vs. Marty Huggins/Zach Galifianakis Article by Sharon Abella

Ding, ding, ding!  Put up your boxing gloves because 2012 is an election year for Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney for President of the United States, AS WELL AS, for Cam Brady and Republican candidate, Marty Sylvester Huggins for Congressman of NC’s 14th District. Will front-runner Cam Brady be sent back to Washington for a 5th term, or will sensitive newcomer, Marty Huggins, prevail?

“Bring your broom, because IT’S A MESS!!!”

We all know politics is ruthless. Everything you have ever done wrong surfaces, and the backbiting can get pretty ugly, but in “The Campaign,” things getREALLY ugly. So ugly that you wouldn’t believe me even if I told you, so you really just have to see for yourself how raucous things get.

Which candidate is stronger, a married man who sleeps around, punches babies and Jack Russell Terrier’s, or a sensitive, mild mannered, “Richard Simmons-like” humanitarian who transforms himself into a man who does not suck?

Screenwriter, Chris Henchy, Director, Jay Roach, Will Ferrell, and Zach Galifianakis, thanked the audience for attending, however, Will Ferrell stated, “I DON’T thank you for coming tonight, because that’s just the way that I am. I want to thank “Landmark Sunshine” cinemas, and the fact that it isn’t carpeted down here, so in case anyone throws up, you can just clean it up.”

See “Hope Springs,” “The Bourne Legacy,” “Red Hook Summer,” and “The Campaign!” all out August 10, 2012.
