La Samain du cinema Fantastique is a nine-night showcase of international thrilling cinema. La Samain du cinema Fantastique was created to offer exposure to genre films which are often overlooked by the traditional festival circuit. We strive to offer acquisition, media and exhibition opportunities for undistributed films as well as to spotlight upcoming genre theatrical releases and give audiences a chance to see 35mm prints of repertory genre classics.


The third annual festival will take place from October 19 - November 2, 2013, in Nice (French Riviera), France

We're currently on the lookout for features and shorts to showcase at this October's event. All genre is appreciated, La Samain du cinema fantastique has always embraced films whose sheer individuality puts them in a genre of their own. If you're not sure whether your film is right for us, consider that we've showcased everything from captivating dramas, eccentric comedies, provocative documentaries, mind-blowing experimental works, musicals, even atypical children's films. Any work produced in the past 24 months is eligible for both our official jury competition and our Public's Prize.
There is no entry fee for FRENCH productions.
