NociCortinfestival is an international short film festival held annually in the town of Noci, located in the Southern-Italian region of Puglia--the heel of the Italian boot. Each August NociCortinfestival provides a forum for Italian and international filmmakers to screen, discuss, promote, and celebrate their films and their medium. Recent editions of NociCortinfestival have been enriched by the participation of filmmakers from a range of European film academies, the Beijing Film Academy, and numerous acclaimed directors, actors and journalists. NociCortinfestival brings together the best of contemporary short-film culture with the pleasures of summer in southern Italy, offering an unforgettable experience for cinema professionals and enthusiasts.

Last deadline for NociCortinfestival 2012

The Nocicinema Association is now accepting submissions for the seventh edition of Nocicortinfestival. This year’s edition of our international short-film festival has several exciting features. Your short-film, sent before May 27st 2012, will have a chance to be screened at the HollyShorts Film Festival, one of the American Film Industry’s premier short-film festivals, held annually in Hollywood, California.

All short-films submitted to NociCortinfestival, are also candidates for the Special Hollyshorts Award, an exceptional opportunity for filmmakers made possible by a new partnership between NociCinema and Hollyshorts. Delegates from Hollyshorts will choose a selection of works from among the films submitted to NociCortinfestival to be screened in August at the HollyShorts Film Festival, and among these films one will receive the Special HollyShorts Award. The director of the winning film will fly to Los Angeles to present his work to the American public.

In addition to the special Hollyshorts Award, our annual NociCortinfestival Awardwill go to the best film selected by our jury, with the winner receiving a 1000 € prize.
