Minneapolis Underground Film Festival's blog

The controversial battleground for truly independent film: The Minneapolis Underground Film Festival gives voice to hidden filmmakers and their buried gems.

Our mission is to exhibit artists, entertain our audiences and inspire filmmakers to create exiting original work. Hosted at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design the film festival utilizes state of the art screening facilities and multiple auditoriums to showcase underground cinema’s most provocative and original work. Our priority is promoting & screening local, national and international filmmakers submissions. This year's festival will also feature after-parties, music, cash & prize awards.

Awards include Largest Audience, Best Soundtrack, Cinematography, Short Film, Editing, Experimental, Documentary, Best Feature and Audience Choice award. This year each award will feature selected prizes from our sponsors as well as the possibilty of being screened again in the future.
