Our mission is to exhibit artists, entertain our audiences and inspire filmmakers to create exiting original work. Hosted and Sponosred by The Film Society of Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP), MUFF utilizes the St. Anthony Main Theater to showcase underground cinema’s most provocative and original work. Our priority is promoting and screening local, national and international filmmakers submissions. This year's festival will feature after-parties, music, and an outdoor screening. Awards include Largest Audience, Best Soundtrack, Cinematography, Short Film, Editing, Experimental, Documentary, Best Feature and Audience Choice award. This year each award will feature selected prizes from our sponsors as well as the possibilty of being screened again in the future. Check our website for more details: http://minneapolisundergroundfilmfestival.com/  2012 Call for Entry deadline is coming soon.The Minneapolis Underground Film Festival - MUFF, is happy to announce it's partnership with The Film Society of Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) who will host and sponsor the 5th annual festival at St. Anthony Main Theater on August 17-19th. With less then two week until the call for entry submission deadline of June 16th and late deadline of June 30th, the filmmaking community has a limited time to submit their short or feature film to MUFF. Each award category will have a selected prize from our sponsors and the chance to win a pair of VIP tickets to the 2012 Oscar Night America - Hosted by Aegis Foundation. This years Largest Audiance Award includes a perchantage of screening profits, Radio K is going to sponsor this years Best Soundtrack Award Category, Cinequipt will sponsor MUFF with Rental Couchers, and Channel Z will again produce our awards ceremony. Awards include Largest Audience, Best Soundtrack, Cinematography, Short Film, Editing, Experimental, Documentary, Best Feature and Audience Choice Awards.
